Amy Leask, Author Amy Leask is living proof that you can do something good with a philosophy degree (she actually has two). She's the author of the book/app series ThinkAboutIt: Philosophy for Kids, and Vice President of Enable Education in Milton, Ontario. A self-proclaimed word nerd, she's tickled pink to be able to combine her love of ideas with more than 10 years as an educator and curriculum developer. Amy believes that great philosophers come in all sizes, and is committed to helping people see the power of their own ideas. When she isn't busy writing and philosophizing, she enjoys world travel, extreme baking, and pondering the mysteries of the universe with her own little philosopher.
Susan Gardner, Author Dr. Susan Gardner has been teaching philosophy for over 30 years and is a faculty member at Capilano University in British Columbia. She is the founding director of the Vancouver Institute for Philosophy for Children (VIP4C), an organizer of Think Fun camps in the Fraser Valley, and the author of Thinking Your Way to Freedom. Inspiring young minds to think critically is a true passion and a daily practice for Susan, but she's also a friend to all animals, and shares her farm with dogs, horses, chickens and fish.
Ami Moore, Illustrator Ami studied illustration at Sheridan College, and loves to draw just about everything from interesting people to fantastical creatures. She delights in having new adventures, and is a fan of tea parties. An animal lover, Ami would like to one day be a cat owner, but for the time being, is content to sketch and paint them.
Katy Leask, Curriculum Specialist Long, long ago, Katy decided that growing up was really overrated. A certified teacher and armchair anthropologist, Katy has shared her love of all things colourful and interesting with children in Canada, Japan and Korea. In addition to creating amazing learning resources, Katy is a mixed media artist, globetrotter, and movie buff.
Ben Zimmer, Contributor and Publisher Ben is not your average computer geek. In addition to being president of Enable Training and Consulting, he's spent more than 15 years telling big machines what to do, teaching college students about computers, and getting involved in student robotic competitions. His commitment to new and innovative ideas has led him to create online resources for thinkers of all ages. He also has a way with dogs and children, and makes a mean chili.
Octavian Ciubotariu, Chief Technical Officer Octavian adores anything "nerdy and geeky", and is curious about all kinds of technology. With a background in robotics, automation and software development, he has spent the past 10 years making lots of new mechanical friends (and plenty of human ones too). When he's not building and programming, Octavian enjoys travelling, camping, and playing soccer.
Ruth Riddle, Audio and Video Production Ruth's list of adventures includes scuba diving, treks on horseback, motorcycle riding, skiing, world travel and being a Scout leader. In post production, she's worked on TV shows like "Brideshead Revisted" and "Coronation Street", as well as the movie "The Queen". When Ruth isn't busy making our stuff look and sound beautiful, she loves to hang out with her family and order take-out.
